The Open Art Cape Town community, which usually meets up every two weeks to doodle and draw, is organising its first exhibition. It will be taking place at The Drawing Room, a café and art gallery in Observatory that usually hosts the groups sketching meetups. Work by a number of South African comics creators is featured in the exhibition.

Exhibition: The Humble Beginnings Exhibition And Doodle Night, Cape Town

The exhibition will showcase work by Adam "Ampie" Lombard, Danielle Albertyn, Gabriella Jardine, Gertan Agenbach, Jesse Breytenbach, Kay Carmichael, Kingsley Clutten, Nick L'Ange, and Shameema Dharsey and runs until 23 March 2017.

The opening night will include a drink-and-draw doodle event that everyone is encouraged to participate in. (Non-alcholic drinks will also be available.)

Please Note: The exhibition has been extended from its original closing date until the Easter weekend. We have posted highlights from the opening night on and airwavez.
