"
Alternative Press is an exhibition of original cartoons dedicated to the talent of cartoonist Derek Bauer. He became well known for his inherently irreverent cartoons and caricatures of politicians and other prominent figures during the troubled and Apartheid-stricken South Africa and the turbulent world in the 1980s. His work appeared in an alternative South African newspaper,
The Weekly Mail, where he expressed his fiercely independent and challenging views through the critical art of cartooning. The exhibition will also showcase work by [sic] contemporary cartoons by Brandan Reynolds and work by Zapiro."
