At another school's challenge in Cape Town young gamers at Fairmont High School finished off the first term by competing in a Call Of Duty: Ghosts tournament for prizes and the chance to represent their school in future competitions.
In January, at the 2upGamers e-sports events in Cape Town, Call Of Duty: Ghosts was a featured tournament for the second time and FIFA players were given another day (almost) all to themselves.
2upGamers ended off the year with two Trenchtown tournament days and an anniversary celebration for the community that featured showcases of popular games from 2013 - and a Couples Doubles event that, mercifully, didn't involve dancing.

In October 2upGamers hosted two days of competitive e-sports events at Trenchtown in Observatory, Cape Town. It was also a chance to say goodbye to Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2, which has been a 2upGamers staple, and welcome FIFA 14.
The 2upGamers community casual gaming events were up and running again in July after uncontrollable scheduling problems left the event without a venue in June.
