We're Still Alive! (No, Really!)

You thought the site was dead. But it isn't. This is proof, almost from beyond the grave, except not, because no one died, including the site, like I said.

2007 slammed many of us in surprising ways. I landed up in a job that sucked away all my free time (and most of my brain functions). Although it was an experience I'm glad I had, it took its toll on both me and the site. Articles were left unwritten, grand plans were temporarily shelved, and things went into hibernation. Jase also got sidetracked by many activities and obligations. This resulted in us not updating the site as often as we should have, even though we continued to have experiences when we could, drink test cappuccinos, and do all those other weird things we do that end up as articles on this site. We just didn't get to the writing and uploading bit most of the time.

Oops.

Anyway, at the end of last year we had the inaugural brainwavez.org Christmas party, which was a lunch at Caffeine in Hout Bay, and all the brainwavez.org people in Cape Town attended, as did Jase, who was down here on holiday, making a grand total of nine of us at the party (there are also two others overseas in secret locations). We're bigger than we thought we were.

(By the way, Glenn, you have to write something for the site now, since you attended the lunch. We'll wait.... :)

This year we hope to get back on track with regards to writing and posting. I am no longer at the job I mentioned so I hope to reclaim my time. I have a lot of backlog stuff to complete for the site, some of which will be going up very soon, so be assured that we're here and will be getting back to our more regular sporadic posting soon! (You have to be consistent in your sporadicism otherwise people get confused.)
