Happy Holidays From brainwavez.org
brainwavez.org News
Happy holidays to all our friends and visitors. It's been a good year for brainwavez.org and we'd like to thank you all for your support, participation, friendship, and encouragement. Although we didn't post as many articles as we had hoped we would, we've still had a good year this year on the site and are very happy with the new content we've created, especially some of the long-form journalism and photo essays. (And we finally got some LEGO content on the site, one of which garnered lots of page views!)This year we had a minor viral hit in "10 Classic Fictional Music Videos From TV's Past (And Present)", thanks, notably, to Neatorama (and Miss Cellania in particular), which featured it in April. We received lots of comments and suggestions from visitors, which enabled us to add even more content to the post and make it possibly the most comprehensive roundup of fictional music videos ever compiled. Another notable achievement was that parts of an interview I conducted a few years ago with author Lauren Beukes also appeared in the South African re-release of her debut novel Moxyland (ISBN: 9781431401864). I'd also personally like to thank speaker and entrepreneur Rich Mulholland, who let me sit in on two tattoo sessions (part 1 is here, part 2 is still to come), which was lots of fun and very educational, as well as Lauren Beukes, who has been a huge supporter of this site for years and has continuously given us exclusives and great content, and has resulted in many page views for us each year. Books LIVE has also continuously supported us over the years and for that we are extremely grateful. Finally, I'd like to thank the rest of the team and our guest contributors for all their hard work this year. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes and they have been an integral part of it. Next year we'll have some great posts lined up, including more from my trips overseas and all sorts of bizarre and awesome coverage of zombies and LEGO (among other amusements), but for now we're taking a break until mid January. There's lots of stuff in the archives [ features | reviews | 2011 ] if you find yourself online in the meantime. On behalf of the team I'd like to wish you a happy holiday. Have fun - but be safe - and we'll see you next year! founder and co-editor Cape Town, South Africa You Might Also Like
