New ZealandLa Scala Restaurant
La Scala restaurant business cardOn a Sunday night in Paihia, La Scala is the only restaurant open. It was also my last night in the Bay of Islands, so my friends and I wanted to celebrate and have a nice dinner. The dinner and the company was very pleasant but the dessert and coffee was the absolute worst I've had in a long time.

Not only did the coffee taste terrible, it took a long time to get to the table. Presumably, this is because I was with a large group of people that also ordered coffees, hot chocolates, and teas. The dessert, a chocolate cream cheese brownie, was not even a brownie at all. It was a very dry piece of chocolate cake with unsweetened cream and chocolate sauce. It's a shame that I've been unable to forget the memory of the dessert and the coffee.
