WRITING

From February 1999 to June 2004 I wrote features and reviewed products for SA Computer Magazine, as well as for Singapore Computer Magazine (which is no longer being published). I also, on occasion, wrote news stories and snippets for SACM and the news section of its web site.

In late 2004 SA Computer Magazine was bought by a new publisher, and the old web site was trashed, which meant the deletion of much of my online writing portfolio, so I am in the process of trolling the web to find archived versions that I can link to (such as in Google's cache and at archive.org) and will update this section as I am able to (please excuse any old links to items from 1999 to 2004, as I haven't yet removed them). This trolling has been a tedious and depressing exercise (watch your life disappear in front of your eyes!) but I have PDF, text, and hardcopy versions of much of my work, so you can request copies from me should you wish to see anything in the meantime.

Since 2001 I have contributed (either as writer or initial research contributor) to a number of books published by Corporate Research Foundation, which produces publications profiling South African businesses. I have also written gaming- or IT-related material for Cosmopolitan, Woman's Value, Musica's magazine Pulse, and Home magazine.

In 2005 I started writing for my own site, brainwavez.org: have a look at this page for a basic overview of what I have written. brainwavez.org is an international, collaborative, web site that looks at arts, culture, technology, and entertainment that is of interest to the "digital culture" generations.

This year (2007) I have a number of items in progress for Home and the South African edition of Cosmopolitan.
