Captain South Africa #1 ended on a cliffhanger but the comic's creator, Bill Masuku, is offering a little teaser of what's to come in the next issue. You can see it here, exclusively, on brainwavez.org.

Bill Masuku is one of the special guests at the inaugural Comic Con Africa, which is taking place in Johannesburg next month, where he will be launching two comics - Captain South Africa #2, and Razor-Man 10.

The first issue of Captain South Africa, which he launched at UCON in Cape Town in January, sees a new, and female, Captain South Africa take up the mantle after the original disappeared. The comic ended on a cliffhanger as Captain South Africa worked to intervene in a showdown that was brewing in Cape Town between the police and a self-described freedom fighter who is also a heterosapien (a person who is a subspecies of humans that has special powers) who had taken over an unoccupied building in the city centre.

brainwavez.org has received an exclusive from Masuku - the first page of the second issue - so if you've been dying to know what happens next you can find out right now, though it leaves just as many questions unanswered.

What is immediately striking is the increase in quality of the art. If you've been following Masuku online you'll know that he has spent the last few months investing heavily in improving his digital-illustration skills and the results are quite apparent in the first page.

You can also see the difference in the art for the cover of the issue, which he revealed online recently:

Masuku also recently revealed the cover of Razor-Man 10, the other comic he will be launching at Comic Con Africa. The series follows the exploits of a Zimbabwean vigilante who is determined to take down the system while he also works to find out who killed his father.

Razor-Man has been available in singles (including a remastered issue 1 that was also launched at UCON earlier this year) and the first six issues have also been collected in a "volume 1" edition.

Aside from the two comics, Masuku will be selling a few back issues from the Razor-Man series, posters, stickers (such as those below), and coupons for Enigma Comix's digital store, where all his current comics can be found. He will also be doing spot commissions at the convention.

Masuku is travelling from Zimbabwe to attend Comic Con Africa so he has set up a pre-order system to help with the printing costs and managing the inventory to take with him to Johannesburg. You can pre order Captain South Africa #2 or Razor-Man 10, or both (separately via the links), to ensure that there is a copy available for you at the convention.

Captain South Africa #2 can be bought as a digital version ($3) or physical copy ($5) in A5 format and either type of order includes a digital copy of Captain South Africa #1.

The options for Razor-Man 10 also comprise either digital ($2) or print ($3) options (the printed version is once again in A5 size) and both choices include a digital version of Razor-Man 9 as a bonus.

There's not much time left to pre order - the offers close on Monday, 20 August 2018, to give Masuku enough time to print the comics. You will be issued with an invoice and can pay via PayPal (or via direct deposit if you are in South Africa) and then you'll be able to pick up your order at Comic Con Africa.
