The Cape Town International Animation Festival (CTIAF) is happening from 18 February 2016 to 21 February 2016. Although the focus is on animation both games and comics will also be represented. The festival comprises screenings, panel discussions, workshops, and an artist alley, some of which is free (notably the artist alley) and some of which requires tickets.

Over 20 local comics creators and artists, including Deon de Lange, Lynton Levengood, Sector, Cottonstar, Ben Winfield, Kollektivo Illuminoso Fresco, kEda Gomez, Danielle Albertyn, Gabriel Metcalfe, Jarred Cramer, Shameema Dharsey, and They Did This!, will be featured at the artist alley at the CTIAF.

Workshop: A Graphic Novel/Sequential Art Workshop With Su Opperman
Do you want to create stories? Are you a visual thinker? Join SA indie comic book artist and fine artist Su Opperman in deconstructing one of the most powerful contemporary storytelling mediums, the graphic novel.
