Cottonstar co-creator Danelle Malan is presenting a two hour watercolour workshop for beginners at The Work Shed in Franschhoek. Malan has previously taught a watercolour workshop as part of the Open Book Comics Fest in Cape Town.

Workshop: Learn The Basics Of Watercolours With Danelle Malan, Franschhoek

From the event notes: "During the first hour Danelle will cover basic methods of adding texture to paintings using a grid and A4 sheet of paper. In the second hour participants will complete a simple exercise or two with the class, showing how to paint a simple scene, or dye a nice wreath that can be used to make cards or posters. Anyone is welcome but beginners will get the most out of the class as the techniques are fun but basic. Danelle subscribes to the idea that you're never too experienced to learn and if advanced painters want to join just to have fun or ask questions/discuss watercolours she is happy with that too. At the end of the class, Danelle will mail more in depth notes with links to resources."

All materials will be supplied and booking is essential.
