2upGamers Trenchtown September: FIFA 13 Gets Its Final Moment
In September the 2upGamers Trenchtown competitive-gaming tournament in Cape Town focussed on fighting games, with some Forza 4 action thrown in for fun. The event also gave a chance for everyone to say goodbye to the monthly FIFA 13 tournament, which concluded this month with another exciting, dramatic final.

2upGamers August: Halo At Trenchtown And An Ultimate Gamer Mini Showdown At UCT
In August some serious FIFA 13 and Halo 4 action dominated the 2upGamers e-sports events. At the community gathering an impromptu Mini Ultimate Gamer challenge threw us in the deep end... and at the end of the night Han Solo made us all cry (not in a good way).

2upGamers July: Trenchtown E-Sports Intensity And Casual Gaming At UCT
The 2upGamers community casual gaming events were up and running again in July after uncontrollable scheduling problems left the event without a venue in June. Meanwhile, Trenchtown gained more recognition as a noteworthy e-sports event as teams from out of town flew in to Cape Town to participate in the games.

Comics, Competitions, And Cosplay At Free Comic Book Day 2013 Cape Town
This year local comic-book store Readers Den organised the biggest Free Comic Book Day event that Cape Town has ever seen. Thousands of fans were treated to free comics, great discounts, awesome prizes, local comics creators, and a huge cosplay competition.

An atmosphere of intense concentration and some nail-biting close calls during a number of gaming challenges were counterbalanced by four Good Hope FM DJs enjoying the first MWEB GameZone Celebrity Challenge at April's 2upGamers event in Cape Town.
