Action Lab Entertainment is offering a selection of comics for free at Comixology until the end of February 2016. The comics all feature black creators and are being made available as part of #BlackComicsMonth.

#BlackComicsMonth is an initiative that was started in February last year by "Dean" Tee of Vixen Varsity to highlight diversity in comics as part of the US' annual Black History Month celebration. When the month ended the project didn't and it has since led to much more promotion, projects, and convention panels that go on throughout each year.

For the February 2016 celebrations "Dean" Tee worked with Action Lab Entertainment to get the Comixology partnership going and the result is the following selection of comics that you can add to your library for free for the next few days.

To get the comics you'll need a Comixology account (it's free to sign up) and then click through to each issue using the links below, add them to your cart, and use the code BCM-ActionLab when you check out. The code-input area is on the bottom left of the first page of the checkout process. It will immediately be applied to all the qualifying Action Lab Entertainment products in your cart and, if you don't have any other comics you're paying for in the list, it will skip the credit-card process and automatically complete the sale. You'll then be able to read the comics online or via the Comixology app.

Three particularly important comics on offer are Midnight Tiger #1, The F1rst Hero #1, and Molly Danger #1 as the characters are all part of the Actionverse event that is taking place in April (we'll have more on that closer to the time as it also involves Stray and South African comics creator Sean Izaakse).

After a young boy dies in his taxi cab, Cyrus Perkins must solve the boy's murder... or be haunted by the spirit trapped in his car!

Fight Like A Girl #1
By David Pinckney and Soo Lee

(See a preview at #BlackComicsMonth.)

Midnight Tiger #1

(See a preview at #BlackComicsMonth.)

The original Action Lab Entertainment press release also listed Shinobi: Ninja Princess #1 by Martheus Wade, Janet Wade, and Adam Shaw and Venture #1 by Jay Faerber, Jamal Igle, and James Brown (preview) as being part of the offer but when I applied the code on checkout the discount didn't kick in. Give it a try - they may be working now. If not, you still have seven great comics to read thanks to the #BlackComicsMonth initiative.
