News: The Remastered LEGO City Undercover Has Been Announced - Here's The Trailer And More Details

LEGO City Undercover was developed by TT Fusion and was originally released for the Wii U in 2013 along with a prequel, Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins, that was developed for the Nintendo 3DS. The new version of LEGO City Undercover has been remastered for the forthcoming Nintendo Switch, as well as the PlayStation 4, Windows, and the Xbox One.

The game is set in LEGO City and you play as undercover cop Chase McCain in an open-world-style environment in which you have to solve crimes and infiltrate the criminal underworld to track down master criminal Rex Fury, who has recently escaped from prison and is on a crime spree.

The game borrows ideas from similar sandbox games such as Grand Theft Auto. There are over 100 vehicles that you can commandeer, including motorcycles and helicopters, to move about the city, which comprises 20 districts to discover. Chase also has access to eight different disguises that give him special abilities he'll need to solve the cases.

The remastered game is expected to be released in "Spring 2017" - so roughly April or May this year.
