Runtastic's fitness apps for mobile devices have helped millions of people lose weight and get fit. We have an infographic depicting how much carbon has been saved, how many kilometres have been logged, and some cool records that have been set, courtesy of Runtastic.

Here is some more Friday infographic fun, this time collating some statistics from Runtastic's suite of fitness apps. The infographic was sent to me by Wintec Solutions, Runtastic's South African distributor, in a marketing mailer.

Runtastic is an Austrian company (with an office in San Francisco) that was founded in 2009. It develops running, cycling, biking, and sports apps for iOS, Android, BlackBerry OS, Windows Phone, and Bada and it manufactures companion hardware such as heart-rate monitors, GPS watches, and bike accessories.

Millions of people use the apps and hardware accessories as part of their fitness plans, to burn calories, to lose weight, to keep motivated, to set personal bests, and to log their fitness journeys (figuratively and on maps).

Here is some of what over 25 million people have achieved, collectively and individually, in the past four years:
