The Shining Girls, the new novel by Lauren Beukes that features a time travelling serial killer, is launching this week in Johannesburg and Cape Town! To celebrate, we have five copies of the e-book to give away, courtesy of Random House Struik/Umuzi.

Update: We have drawn the winners! See the comments below for more information. Thank you to Random House Struik/Umuzi for sponsoring the prizes and Lauren Beukes for all the support and for retweeting the competition. Congratulations to the winners and thank you all for entering and posting such wonderful comments.

Random House Struik, whose imprint Umuzi has published the Southern African editions of The Shining Girls, by Lauren Beukes, has offered us five copies of the e-book to give away.

The Shining GirlsThe e-book features bonus content that you won't find in the printed editions, including the interview with Joey Hi-Fi, the designer of both covers of the print editions, that published earlier this year. We are very honoured to have been included in the e-book and it's very exciting for us to be able to give away copies to friends of the site.

Because it's in e-book format there are a few things of which to take note before you enter. The e-books, unfortunately, contain DRM so they need to be managed via an Adobe ID, which allows you to read your media on up to six devices, including e-readers, tablets, and computers (the full list of supported devices is here). Certain devices, such as iOS-based products (iPads and iPhones) require reader software. There are many options available and you may already have one on your device. If not, Random House Struik recommends the free app Bluefire Reader for iOS devices, which is available in the South African iTunes App Store.

If you don't have an Adobe ID you can set up your computer now by downloading the free Adobe Digital Editions library/management software and then following the prompts.

What Winners Will Receive
