Comics & Concepts, a group exhibition paying homage to artists and comics creators Jean Giraud (Mœbius) and Frank Frazetta, is opening at Ahem, a concept art and animation gallery in Observatory, Cape Town, that opened in April. The exhibition opening forms part of September's Art Thursdays events in Observatory.
The exhibition will comprise work by 12 artists from five countries, including South African comics creator Daniël Hugo and South African cartoonist Gavin Thomson, as well as French graphic novel creator Ulysse Malassagne and French artist Nausicaa Giraud, the daughter of Mœbius.
Please note that it is possible that due to the popularity of Art Thursdays and the Ahem events there may be a waiting list or queue to get into the venue for safety reasons so plan your evening around other events too, such as the Open Art Sketch Meet.
• When: Thursday, 14 September 2017, from 18:00 (opening night); exhibition closing date unknown
• Where: Ahem, 77 Lower Main Road, Observatory, Cape Town, South Africa
• Cost: Free
