At the end of November 2018 Anton Kannemeyer/Joe Dog, who co-founded Bitterkomix, embarked on Fleur De Passion in Knysna and travelled with it to Mossel Bay. Fleur De Passion is the international initiative The Ocean Mapping Expedition's sailboat, which travels the world promoting the arts, including cartooning.


During his time on Fleur De Passion Kannemeyer produced a few cartoons and works of art, facsimiles of which are on exhibition as part of The Ocean Mapping Expedition's Our Spice Islands exhibition, which collects the art and cartoons produced by artists from around the world who have spent time on the boat.
