Hourly Comic Day is an annual event that takes place on 1 February in which comics creators create a short comic, comic strip, or comic panel every hour they are awake, usually to depict the events of their day, although that is not a prerequisite. It grew out of a personal hourly comic challenge initiated by John Campbell of Pictures For Sad Children in 2005.

Anyone is welcome to participate and creators usually post the results to their web sites or social media or both under the event hashtag.
