The University of Cape Town's Genshiken society is hosting another UCON, the "anime, gaming, and general nerd convention", this time in partnership with e-sports organisers ACGL and at GrandWest instead of the UCT Sports Centre.

Convention: UCON 2019, Cape Town

Details are sketchy as to what the comics representation is going to be but Stephen Spinas (who is currently running a crowdfunding campaign for his comic Em Is For Monsters) will have a table at the convention and Readers Den Comic Shop is also likely to be selling manga- and anime-related merchandise.
