Bal-Oog & Brommel: Moord In Ixiastraat co-creator Sjaka S Septembir, who is an accomplished theatre performer with a masters in theatre making from the University Of Cape Town (see my reviews of Bal-Oog En Brommel: Moord In Ixiastraat, the theatre adaptation of the graphic novel, and Skop for more details) will be presenting a two day Clowning Workshop at the Drostdy Teater (theatre) in Stellenbosch.

The workshop is especially suited for beginners and I would argue that comics creators would also benefit from it because it will give them insight into human psychology, which will help their writing and art.

• When: Friday, 12 April 2019, to Saturday, 13 April 2019, 10:00 to 17:00 daily
• Where: Drostdy Teater, 48 Alexander Street (corner of Alexander Street and Bird Street), Stellenbosch, South Africa
• Cost: R900 for the two day workshop, which includes refreshments but not lunch (take your own or buy something at a local restaurant); contact the theatre for booking information.
• More Details: Facebook (English), Facebook (Afrikaans)
