Festival: Midlands Literary Festival, Howick
Luke Molver, the creator behind Story Press Africa's Shaka Rising
and King Shaka: Zulu Legend
, is on the Midlands Literary Festival programme along with his publisher, Jessica Powers. They are part of a panel discussion, along with Hannes Barnard and in conversation with Izak de Vries, on the topic of representing Africa and will be launching King Shaka: Zulu Legend
during the talk.
The Midlands Literary festival celebrates its 10th year in 2019 and is a mix of authors, panel discussions, poetry, and workshops, as well as a youth-outreach programme. The festival is divided into four sessions (Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon, with a one hour lunch break between morning and afternoon sessions) that each comprise a series of activities and panel discussions and visitors can select either to buy tickets for single sessions or a weekend pass that gives them access to all four sessions.
Molver and Powers will be on the programme during the Sunday morning session, from 10:30 to 11:00.
